The Long story:

Tracy, Kev and I met in high school. I was obsessed with motorcycles, second only to girls. I must admit in my high school days, that my sole reason for wanting a motorcycle was to wanting to look cool and maybe impress the ladies. Tracy had been involved in a motorcycle accident in which he was driving a car. That is his story to tell. Needless to say, these two did not share my two wheeled wonder..

Years passed, Kev went off into the army, but not before I influenced him enough to wish for a motorcycle. He purchased a Kawasaki EX 500 for his first. I on the other hand, had picked up a Kawasaki Ninja 600. Tracy was still none too certain. One ride on that Ninja, with its 60 something horsepower and loud supertrapp pipes, was all it took. He purchased a Yamaha FZR400 within the next few days.

Kev and an infant sized wheelie on his Kawasaki EX500!

Tracy and my first bike, The 600 Ninja.

The next few years of our riding careers left much to be desired. Saturday night cruises, riding to the lake, an occasional drag strip once in awhile. And that was that….it was a hobby we thought would fade in time.

A rare picture of our first motorcycles, the '86 Ninja 600 and the '90 FZR400

Fast forward again, Many years, A few dozen motorcycles and a handful of crashes, we were still riding. My wife and I decided to rent a Goldwing and ride to Yellowstone. We stopped at every state line we crossed, Four of them I think it was, and took a picture.

I later showed these pictures to Tracy. A few beers into the conversation, We had made up our minds, we were going to ride through all 50 states. On our first ride, named the5 States Before Supper Ride”, we brought along a video camera just for a goof.….By way of Motorcycle was born.

This site is dedicated to all motorcyclists. Tourers, Harley Folks, Sportbikers, Adventure riders, Dirt guys and gals. We may all be very different, but we still share something that the general stuffy, windows rolled up, minivan driving public just doesn't understand.

This is to tell our story, entertain if we can, and offer advice to new riders as well as accept it from the seasoned veterans.

As of the writing of this, I’ve ridden my motorcycle in 43 of our great states

Wish me luck,

Billy
